Foreign Lecturer (English Language)
This is a full-time appointment, non-tenured.
Hokkaido University, Institute of Language and Culture Studies
Applications should include:
1. Letter of introduction
2. CV with photo (please include date of birth)
3. List of publications and research papers
4. Two letters of recommendation
(We regret that documents cannot be returned)
Duties:
1. Two 15-week semesters per year teaching English language to 1st and
2nd year
undergraduates.
2. Teaching duties will not exceed 16 hours per week.
3. Assist teaching faculty with research and materials development
Requirements:
Masters or a higher degree in applied linguistics, linguistics,
communication,
English/American literature or culture studies
Application deadline: Nov. 30, 1999
Position begins: April 1, 2000
Open to both residents of Japan and overseas applicants
Salary from 6,500,000 yen depending on age, experience and number of
family
members. Moving expenses will be reimbursed after arrival.
Contract Information:
Initial appointment is two years with an option to renew up to a total
of five years
from first appointment.
