Subject:  Syntax & Cognitive Neuroscience of Language at Yale

The Department of Linguistics at Yale University expects to make an
appointment at the level of Assistant Professor in the area of
syntax and the cognitive neuroscience of language, effective
as of the 2000-2001 academic year. The appointee will share
responsibility for core courses in syntactic theory, as well as
courses contributing to the Department's area of interest in the study
of Linguistics as an aspect of the study of the mind.  This includes a
Ph.D. program in Brain and Language and an undergraduate
interdepartmental major in Cognitive Science.  Prior teaching
experience in relevant areas will be an advantage.

suitable for this position should include a current CV and copies of
publications or other samples of research, together with the names and
