Subject:  Indonesian: Linguist, Research Asst in Jakarta, Indonesia

A research project on child language in Jakarta seeks to fill the
following positions:

1. LINGUIST

Requirements: MA or equivalent in linguistics or a related field;
native command of Indonesian; native-like command of English;
experience in linguistic research; excellent computer skills.

2. RESEARCH ASSISTANT

Requirements: BA or equivalent in linguistics or a related field;
native command of Indonesian; excellent English skills; computer
literacy; experience working with children.

Candidates for the Research Assistant position must be available for a
personal interview and a 3-day training program in Jakarta in January
2001.  Candidates for the Linguist position may be interviewed by
telephone.
