Our junior college is about to begin offering first year linguistics,
and I have been put in charge of spending about $3,000 in library
resources to support this new course.

Does anyone on Linguistlist have suggestions about the most
appropriate books, journals, and other materials to support
linguistics teaching at this level?

I am ain a Ph.D program in theoretical linguistics. I am interested if anyone
is doing work on, or knows of work on subjacency violations/  wh-island
constraints in the minimalist framework.
