Qualifications Required:
Lecturer: M.A./ M.Ed. in TESOL / ELT or related discipline;
plus 4 years' relevant experience
Instructor: B.A. / B.Ed. plus RSA/Trinity Diploma or
equivalent; plus 2 years' relevant experience

Benefits
Lecturer: 800 Omani rials per month (plus 50 rials travel
allowance if housed off-campus)
Instructor: 700 Omani rials per month (plus 50 rials travel
allowance if housed  off-campus)

Sultan Qaboos University is an English-medium University for the
Colleges of Science, Agriculture, Engineering, Medicine, Commerce, and
the English majors from Arts & Education. All students take Intensive
level courses on entry, for one or two semesters, to bring them up to
around IELTS 5/5.5 level when they begin credit courses. We need
lecturers/instructors to teach all levels - the Intensive Programme,
covering General English/EAP from false beginners to Intermediate, and
the Credit programme, when students take supplementary courses, mainly
of an ESP nature, to support their academic courses. Teachers teach up
to 20 contact hours per week (1 contact hour = 50 minutes).  Benefits
include furnished accommodation, annual round ticket, full medical
cover.
