The Department of East Asian Studies at the University of Arizona seeks a
one-year, full-time instructor to teach Japanese language. Candidates must
have native or near-native fluency in Japanese, good English speaking and
reading skills, college-level language teaching experience (preferably in
the U.S.), an M.A. (preferably in Applied Linguistics, Second Language
Acquisition, JSL/JFL, or TESL/TEFL), and be able to provide documentation
of the ability to work in the United States.

Appointment begins with the Fall 2000 semester (August, 2000).

Review of materials will begin June 1 and will continue until position is
