The Department of Linguistics at New York University seeks candidates
for two tenure-track positions. The positions, one in Phonology and the
other in Syntax, will begin in September, 2001, pending administrative
and budgetary approval. Responsibilities for both positions include
teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. In addition, as part
of the Department's continuing development, recruitment for a third
position in Semantics to begin September 1, 2002, is planned.

application, curriculum vitae, three letters of recommendation, and a
sample of work should be submitted by December 8, 2000, either to the
