Semantische Eigenschaften von Ideophonen im Tuerkischen

Ideophone stellen im Tuerkischen ein reiches Inventar expressiver
Ausdruecke dar, mit denen wahrgenommene Eindruecke den Zuhoerern
anschaulich vor Augen gefuehrt werden koennen. Der Bereich der
Ideophonie betrifft wenige semantische Domaenen, wobei Wahrnehmungen
verschiedenster Art im Zentrum stehen. Ideophone sind lautsymbolisch,
was bedeutet, daß Laute, die keine Morpheme sind, Bedeutung tragen. Es
gibt also zu einem gewissen Grade eine Entsprechung phonologischer und
semantischer Merkmale. Je nach dem Grad der Ikonizitaet koennen diese
Entsprechungen mehr oder weniger offensichtlich sein. Wie alle
Sprachzeichen sind Ideophone jedoch auch konventionell.  Ein weiteres
Charakteristikum tuerkischer Ideophone ist ihre modifikative Funktion,
sie werden also adjektivisch oder adverbial verwendet. Sie
unterstreichen die Bedeutung eines Verbs, koennen aber auch
zusaetzliche semantische Informationen enthalten. Sie werden im
Tuerkischen meist redupliziert verwendet, wobei die Reduplikation
Wiederholung zum Ausdruck bringt. Ploetzliche, abrupte Eindruecke
werden hingegen mittels Quotativkonstruktionen oder derivierter Formen
ausgedrueckt. Durch Alternationen der Vokale oder Konsonanten koennen
weitere semantische Nuancen versprachlicht werden.
