We'd like to remind readers that the responses to queries are usually
best posted to the individual asking the question. That individual is
then strongly encouraged to post a summary to the list. This policy was
instituted to help control the huge volume of mail on LINGUIST; so we
would appreciate your cooperating with it whenever it seems appropriate.

Dear linguistlist users,
I am currently researching into the prosodic hierarchy in
Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian. I would be grateful if anyone
could point me in the direction of research into (a)
synchronic phonological processes (palatal and other
assimilation; l-vocalisation; variation in accent
placement; word final devoicing; degemination across word
boundaries and anything else that may come to mind) and (b)
the nature and/or existence of VP in Bosnian/Croatian/
Serbian.
Thank you and best wishes,
Rob O'Connor

Dear linguists,
I am looking for an article I read some years ago. It is about the last
letter of the Latin alphabet, called zee in the USA and zed in the rest of
the English speaking countries. In the article, the author shows that
Canadian children say zee instead of zed due to the television programme
Sesame Street.
Does anybody know the article? Thanks for your help!
