For those concerned with grammar in the schools, please see an emerging
resource from the Assembly for the Teaching of English Grammar (ATEG), an
assembly of the NCTE. Brock Haussamen, Prez of ATEG, announces a site with
collected "tips for teaching grammar," K - 12. The email also references
the ATEG website and listserve.
It's emergent -- Check it out! Contribute your own ideas and approaches!
Cheers,

New listserve members and veterans alike might want to check out the
growing section of the ATEG website with Tips for Teaching Grammar. The
eleven Tips include strategies for showing students how to find the verb,
checking the punctuation of coordinate conjunctions, understanding the
pattern of known and new information, diagraming phrases and clauses, and
more.
