Position in teaching English as a Second Language (TESL)
In keeping with its institutional policy regarding the recruitment of
new professors, UQAM is seeking highly qualified individuals to
continue the university's reputation for excellence, and to renew and
refresh its professional staff.
Job summary:
. To train TESL teachers at BA and MA levels;
. To advise students at BA, MA and PhD levels;
. To maintain a program of research in TESL;
. To render service to the department and broader academic
community.
Requirements:
. PhD in TESL, applied linguistics, or a related discipline;
. Record of recent published research;
. Practical experience with primary or secondary school environment
and pupils;
. Excellent command of English and good knowledge of French (spoken
and written);
. University teaching experience an advantage;
. Knowledge of technology in language teaching an advantage.
Starting date: January 1, 2002
Salary: Determined by UQAM professors' union contract
