We'd like to remind readers that the responses to queries are usually
best posted to the individual asking the question. That individual is
then strongly encouraged to post a summary to the list. This policy was
instituted to help control the huge volume of mail on LINGUIST; so we
would appreciate your cooperating with it whenever it seems appropriate.

Subject: Seeking Good Corpus for Word Sequence Frequency
I'm looking for advice on finding a good English-language corpus for
studying the frequency of one word following another.
For example, if I see "frozen", what is the probability that the next word
will be "chicken", versus "tundra", etc.?
I realize many corpuses could be used like this, but are some better
suited, given that this is my only interest (in this project)? Also, if
the corpus also specifies beginnings and endings of sentences, that would
also be very useful.
Thanks in advance for any help,
-Matt Jensen

I'm looking for a list/dictionary with phonetic transcription of words in
Spanish (and other languages). Does anyone of you know where to find one?
Online or not.
Thank you.
