details of the Summer School 2001,to be hosted
this year by the University of Birmingham, UK.

Package 1:  Five-day Introduction to Forensic
Linguistics with Specialisations  (Days 1-5)
Dates:  September 14th-18th
Tuition Fee: £245

Package 2:  Four-day Introduction to Forensic
Linguistics with Specialisations  (Days 1-3 + 4
OR 5)
Dates:  September 14-18th
Tuition Fee:  £200

Package 3: Three-day Introduction to Forensic
Linguistics  (Days 1-3 OR 3-5)
Dates:  September 14th-18th
Tuition Fee:  £155

Package 4:Two-day Specialisations  (Selected from
Days 3, 4 and 5)
Dates:   September 16th-18th
Tuition Fee:  £110

Individual Days:  It is also possible to attend
individual days of the course at a cost of £60
per day.  Please indicate which day of the
programme you are interested in.

Accommodation:  All of the enrolment packages are
available on a residential or non-residential
basis. Single room University accommodation is
available at a cost of £35 per night (including
bed, breakfast and lunch), with hotel
accommodation also available on request.

GLOSSOLOGIA
A Greek Annual for General and Historical Linguistics

Edited by the Department of Linguistics - University of
Athens

The Department of Linguistics of the University of Athens is
pleased to inform the linguists in Greece and abroad that
Glossologia 11-12, its Journal for Theoretical and
Historical Linguistics, has just appeared.

This volume  is actually a transition from a former into a
new stage of Glossologia's life, which we expect to be one
of essential renewal. Obeying to the higher requirements and
the editing needs of a modern linguistic journal, we have
proceeded to changes concerning its whole organisation:
status, editing and circulation. A new editorial board and a
new publisher will collaborate to ensure its annual
publication with a new appearance.

Glossologia, the first and only  linguistic journal
published in Greece, will from now on appear annually
hosting articles, review articles and book reviews in any
research domain (phonetics-phonology, morphology, syntax,
semantics, pragmatics etc.). The emphasis, as before, will
be put on the synchrony and diachrony of the Greek language,
but cross-linguistic or theoretical studies are also
welcome.

>>From the 13th vol. on a list of  the new linguistic
publications in Greece as well as a catalogue of the
doctoral dissertations on Greek linguistics (submitted or
under submission to Greek Universities) will normally be
included.

INSTRUCTIONS TO AUTHORS

Papers intended for publication (in Greek, English, French
or German) should be written in Word for Windows or Word for
Macintosh (Font: Times New Roman, Font size: 12 pt, Line
spacing: 1.5) on A4 paper with 2,5cm margins. For emphasis,
authors are requested to use italics or SMALL CAPITALS
rather than bold characters. Scripts other than Greek and
Roman should appear in transliteration.

They should be submitted in two printed copies, accompanied
by a computer disk labelled for PC or Macintosh

They should not exceed 25 pages, including footnotes and
references

They should contain the following items in the same order:
-Title of paper (in bold capitals on the left-hand side)
-Name of author (in capitals on the left-hand side)
-Abstract in English of no more than 150 words (in the case
of articles only)
-Main text (including footnotes)
-Author's name, address for correspondence and institutional
affiliation (if any) in italics
-Appendices (if any)
-Bibliographical references

All submissions are reviewed before publication
First proofs are sent to the authors for corrections
