We are pleased to complete information you about the IULATERM activities
organised by the Institut Universitari de Linguistica Aplicada (IULA) of
the Universitat Pompeu Fabra for summer 2001.
III INTERNATIONAL SUMMER SYMPOSIUM OF TERMINOLOGY:
SPECIALISED KNOWLEDGE SOURCES AND TERMINOLOGY
Barcelona, July, 10-13, 2001
The International Summer Symposium of Terminology is an
interdisciplinary monographic meeting for specialists interested in
terminology. In the III edition, the Symposium subject will be the
specialised knowledge sources and their relation to terminology and it
will be organised in seminar-discussion sessions where the production,
management and transfer of specialised knowledge will be analysed.
Sessions will be run by worldwide-known scholars in order to show
complementary approaches to the topics of the Symposium. All
participants are invited to discussion after each session. Due to the
organisation and in order to facilitate discussions, number of
participants in the Symposium is limited.
The Symposium is addressed to professionals or postgraduate students
from different research areas related to research, teaching or
application development in which terminology takes place. Specialists on
experimental and health sciences, social and human sciences, information
science researchers, psychologists, philosophers, computer science
researchers, linguists, lexicographers, translators will be also
welcome.
