Position Announcement
8-month contract

The Linguistics Department, Memorial University of Newfoundland, is
seeking to make an 8-month appointment at the rank of Assistant
Professor, effective 1 September 2001.

Qualifications: Ph.D. in Linguistics with a specialization in second
language acquisition, a demonstrated record of effective teaching at
the undergraduate level; and evidence of research publications.  The
successful candidate will be expected to teach second language
acquisition, as well as introductory courses. Deadline for receipt of
applications is May 15, 2001.
