We'd like to remind readers that the responses to queries are usually
best posted to the individual asking the question. That individual is
then strongly encouraged to post a summary to the list. This policy was
instituted to help control the huge volume of mail on LINGUIST; so we
would appreciate your cooperating with it whenever it seems appropriate.

I am looking for an Introduction to Spanish Linguistic textbook written in
Spanish.
I have been using Azevedo's "Introduccio´n a la llungüeistica" but I am
trying to look for other options.
I am specially interested in textbooks that include a sociolinguistic
approach.

Thank you for any information you can provide

Dear Colleagues,
I am working on the use of grammatical aspect ("viewpoint aspect" in
C. Smith's terminology) as a focussing device in text/discourse. I am
aware of Hopper's (1979) and Smith's (1991) work in this area but am
wondering if readers of this list can point me to additional
resources. Please send your communication to me at
aschramm at gw.hamline.edu. If there is enough interest, I will naturally
post a summary to the list. Thank you in advance for any information I may
receive.
