IKU CALL FOR LECTURES
The 55th session of the International Congress University (IKU), in
which university professors or persons with similar qualifications may
lecture, is to be held in Fortaleza, Brazil, during the 2002 World
Esperanto Congress next summer. Qualified candidates are invited to
send their lecture proposals to the IKU Commission Secretary,
Prof. Dr. Hans Michael Maitzen (Endemanngasse 6-18/1/24, AT-1230 Wien,
Austria -- e-mail: maitzen at astro.univie.ac.at).
The proposal should contain a concise abstract (at most approx. 200
words) of the lecture, a concise biography and a personal
bibliography. A photo suitable for publication must also be
provided. It is preferable but not absolute necessary that the
lectures bear some relation to the congress subject: "Diversity, a
Chance, not a Threat".
Chosen lecturers will receive a modest honorarium but not compensation
for their expenses. Every lecturer must be a participant of the
congress and must be responsible for his own registration. Especially
welcome are young candidates and those who have not previously
lectures in the IKU.
Limit for applications: January 15, 2002.
