We'd like to remind readers that the responses to queries are usually
best posted to the individual asking the question. That individual is
then strongly encouraged to post a summary to the list. This policy was
instituted to help control the huge volume of mail on LINGUIST; so we
would appreciate your cooperating with it whenever it seems appropriate.
In addition to posting a summary, we'd like to remind people that it
is usually a good idea to personally thank those individuals who have
taken the trouble to respond to the query.

Subject: English/German/Polish thesauri
Could anyone recommend any readily available mono- or
multilingual electronic thesauri (understood as hierarchies
of terms with relations such as broader term (BT) and
narrower term (NT)) containing terms for any of the
following topics:
- geography,
- law, finances,
- science and technology,
- industry,
- medicine, pharmacy?
I am interested mainly in such thesauri for English, German
and Polish.
If there are enough responses, I'll post a summary.
Many thanks in advance.
Best,
Adam P.

Dears linguists,
I study and research the Portuguese language and worked in the
just-published "Antonio Houaiss's Dictionary" in Brazil.
I want to get more information concerning other dictionaries, in any
languages, that also register hyperonim and hyponim.
Can somebody help me, please?
Thanks in advance,
Grace Helen
