Because of the events of Sept. 11, the Form-Meaning Connections in
SLA conference was postponed.  This postponement has meant that some
original participants will not be able to attend. This will open a
limited number of spots in the conference program for February 21-24,
2002.  We are thus sending out a second-round call for papers.
Abstracts are due Nov. 12.  Please consult our website for submission
guidelines.

Subject:  Call for Papers


The 14th (annual) International Colloquium of the "Studienkreis
'Geschichte der Sprachwissenschaft' (SGdS)", the German Association
for the History of Linguistics, will be held at the University of Umea
(Sweden) from July 19 to 20, 2002. Papers may deal with any subject of
historiography and metahistoriography of linguistics, but those
focusing on the history of the theory of word formation are
particulary welcome.  Conference languages are English, French, and
German.  Applications and abstracts are to be submitted before March
1, 2002 to Professor Kjell-Ake Forsgren, University of Umea
(kjell-ake.forsgren at tyska.umu.se).  Further informations on the
