Call for Papers: 2002 South Atlantic Modern Linguistic Association Linguistics
"Language and the War on Terrorism."
SAMLA Linguistics is seeking papers for its session at the 2002 SAMLA
Convention in Baltimore, Maryland, in November. The title of the
session is "Language and the War on Terrorism." Presentations will be
20 minutes long with 10 minutes for discussion. We will consider
papers using such linguistic approaches to the subject as discourse
analysis, pragmatics, corpus linguistics, and lexicography, as well as
more literary approaches examining rhetoric and style. Abstracts
(300-word maximum) are to be sent to Lamont Antieau
antieau at arches.uga.edu by April 27th.
