The Department of Linguistics, McGill University, invites applications
for an eight month replacement position in Phonology at the rank of
Assistant Professor (Special Category), effective September 1, 2002.
Qualifications: Ph.D. in Linguistics with teaching experience
preferred. The candidate will be expected to teach primarily at the
undergraduate level. Course load will be to equivalent to four or five
courses chosen from the following: Introduction to Linguistics,
Phonetics, Phonology, Historical Linguistics, Sociolinguistics.
Deadline for application: May 1st 2002 or until the position is
filled.
All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however, Canadian
citizens and permanent residents will be given priority. McGill
