We'd like to remind readers that the responses to queries are usually
best posted to the individual asking the question. That individual is
then strongly encouraged to post a summary to the list. This policy was
instituted to help control the huge volume of mail on LINGUIST; so we
would appreciate your cooperating with it whenever it seems appropriate.
In addition to posting a summary, we'd like to remind people that it
is usually a good idea to personally thank those individuals who have
taken the trouble to respond to the query.

I am a researcher in the History of Language Sciences, and I am in
charge of a research program on the history of machine translation
and computational linguistics.
I need to consult the newsletter of the Association for Computational
Linguistics, The Finite String, published from 1965 to 1974.
Precisely I need to consult the issues from 1965 to 1968 (included)
which I cannot find in French libraries.
Could anyone lend me these issues. I could make copies and send them
back to him/her?
Thanks in advance.

Subject: Grad student seeking palindrome theory
Hello. I'm a Master's Student at the University of North Texas, and
I'm writing a thesis over the contextualization of palindromes.
I plan to address how the mind places language fragments into context
the same way it bridges gaps in search of meaning.
I seek relevant theory, past or present.
Any suggestions?
Michael.
