Principle Natural Language Engineer
SUMMARY
Investigate and implement natural language processing solutions, with
an emphasis on statistical natural language approaches. Initial
responsibilities will include design solutions for the generalize
extraction of entities from unstructured content utilizing statistical
approaches. The position requires significant experience in two or
more of the following areas: statistical natural language processing,
entity extraction, information retrieval, statistical methods
(e.g. Markhov models), or machine learning..
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- The candidate would be responsible for research and implementation
of high performance natural language technology solutions. This will
include working with a small R&D team to build state of the art
solutions that are both accurate and scalable.
- The candidate would be responsible for architectural ownership of
specific language technology components. This includes development of
NLP architecture components as part of the larger platform
architecture under development.
- The candidate would be responsible for assisting with strategic
measurement, assessment and planning of NLP solutions.
REQUIREMENTS
- Advanced degree in a technical field preferred (computer science,
engineering, or math)
- 4 - 5 years industry or post-graduate experience in natural language
or information retrieval solution development.
PREFFERED EXPERIENCE
- Experience with Java Platform Technologies (RMI, EJB, JDBC, JSP)
- Experience in object-oriented design, data analysis, data modeling
- Experience with relational databases such as Oracle or SQL Server
- Experience in object oriented design, data analysis, data modeling
- Experience with Java Platform Technologies (RMI, EJB, JDBC, JSP)
- Experience with C++, Perl a plus.
