Meeting Description:
Call for Papers by 20 Dec. 2002. Selection by 5 Jan.2003. Full papers
by 5 July 2003. ICKL-TUBerlin International Conference on Korean
Linguistics (July 21-22, 2003) will give focus on Corpus/Quantitative
Linguistics, Lexicography & CALL in all subfields of linguistics. Will
try to provide with free accomodations. For more information inquire
to sangoak at snu.ac.kr or cho at fkl-tu-berlin.de
TUBerlin(http://www.tu-berlin.de/eng/index.html)is the locale of this
event and this university is very much interested in Korean
Linguistics. Studies such as ''Comparison of the Korean and German
Phonemic Systems, Case Systems, Passive Constructions, Frequencies of
Topics, Word Order, and Neologism'' would be very helpful to the
project planned by TUBerlin. Professor/Dean Erdmann and Dr. Cho
suggest that more European/German scholars participate in the
conference and thus make the event more international. Quantitative
Linguistics Circle of Seoul National University under the leadership
of the President of ICKL, Prof. Sang-Oak Lee, is planning to provide
many participants with free accomodations for two nights. We plan for
in depth discussions among participants on homepage.
