Subject:  tips for designing phonetically balanced prompts

Could someone please reference a good guide for designing a set of
phonetically balanced sentence prompts? I'm designing a corpus
collection experiment with Australian-English speakers as subjects. I
am particularly interested in syllable and phoneme durations.

Hello ,

I am an undergraduate student at the university of leeds conducting a
study within a module called children's english. I am , to the
bemusement of my supervisor , looking into the idea of wether children
associate gender with ungendered nouns. As a learner of foriegn
langauages i have always been interested inthe way that seeingly un
related nouns can carry gender value. Also how abstarct nouns like the
sea appear to be personified through gender.

I am working with a group of five year old children many of whom speak
english as a second language, and so will be investigating their first
languages too-

If anyione could offer any suggestions or related sites or topics i
would be very greatful,
