Assistant Professor of English, tenure-track. Doctorate in TESOL,
Applied Linguistics, or a related field. ABD considered if degree is
completed by date of employment. The position requires teaching and
research experience in general and appl ied l inguistics, with
expertise in at least two of the following areas: ESL methods, second
language acquisition, assessment, second language literacy
development, sociolinguistics and/or history of English. Opportunities
to teach both undergraduate linguistics and graduate-level ESL
endorsement and TESOL courses.
Letters of application should include a statement of teaching
philosophy, current vita, a copy of graduate transcripts, and three
letters of reference.
