Description:		
		Full Professorship in English Linguistics

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will conduct research in English Linguistics
and will teach in all branches of the field, including synchrony and
diachrony. Teaching load is 8 hours per week. She/he will administer
examinations at all academic levels. Candidates are preferred who have
both a theoretical and an empirical research background and a
functional orientation.

Employment requirements:
Required background according to § 15 Hamburgisches Hochschulgesetz is
a Habilitation or an equivalent qualification. The successful
candidate is expected to participate in the Collaborative Research
Centre (538) Multilingualism sponsored by the Deutsche
Forschungsgemeinschaft. Excellent command of German is essential.
