Subject: Psycholinguistics: BBC Radio 4: 'A Voice in the Crowd'
For the last two weeks BBC Radio 4 has been broadcasting a new series
called 'A Voice in the Crowd', which deals (in layman's language)with
psychophonetic phenomena such as the 'cocktail party effect'. It will
run until October 6th. Remaining instalments in the series can be
heard on Sunday afternoons at 2.45pm. Note, however, that there is no
repeat, and the BBC have no plans to make the programme available
online through their 'Listen Again'web facility. Information about the
