Description:
The Department of Linguistics at Cornell University invites applicants
for a half-time visiting assistant professor position for Fall 2003 to
teach a graduate introduction to experimental phonetics. The
employment dates are from August 16-December 31, 2003, at a salary of
$10,000-12,000 (depending on experience) plus benefits.
This course, which presupposes an introductory undergraduate course in
phonetics, focuses on detailed acoustic analysis (and to a lesser
degree instrumental articulatory analysis) of the speech sounds of a
wide range of languages.
Preference will be given to candidates who have completed their Ph.D.
A letter of application, curriculum vitae, one publication, and three
letters of recommendation should be sent to:
