Subject:  Syntax and Semantics of the Word "Get"

Hello,

I am beginning my thesis for my MATESOL degree from Southern Illinois
University at Carbondale.  My subject is the syntax and semantics of
the verb ''get''.  Unfortunately, my own attempts at finding resources
has come up short as it appears that there has been very little
research done on the subject.  I am looking for a little guidance, if
anyone has any knowledge of any references on this subject it would be
greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

Subject:  seeking Halliday reference: 'voice vagueness'

I seem to recall reading somewhere (Levin and Rappaport?) a reference
to Halliday claiming that some verbs (specifically verbs of motion)
are inherently vague as to voice. Sadly because of poor archiving I
cannot find the reference and I have looked for this idea through
quite a bit of Halliday without much success.

Can any body help me track it down?
