Meeting Description:
THE THIRD INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON CONSTRUCTION GRAMMAR (ICCG3)
July 7-10, 2004
Marseille, France
The Third International Conference on Construction Grammar will take
place at the Université de Provence, France, July 7-10, 2004.
The conference is a follow-up on the Second International Conference
on Construction Grammar held in Helsinki in September 2003. In line
with the aim of the second conference, we hope that ICCG3 will
continue to serve as a forum for promoting discussion and
collaboration among linguists interested in Construction Grammar, as
well as in related constructional research in its various models and
applications. We would like to put a special emphasis on establishing
the link between a descriptive approach to linguistic phenomena,
especially as they emerge from authentic data, and their
formalisation, as well as their automatic implementation.
Confirmed Plenary speakers include:
Paul Kay
Hans Boas
Seiko Fujii
Laura Michaelis
Anne Abeillé
Michael Tomasello
Dominique Willems
Claire Blanche-Benveniste
Ivan Sag
other framework guest speaker

Regular conference papers (20-min. talk plus 10-min. discussion) are
invited on any aspect of linguistic analysis that is concerned with
constructions and/or frames. We welcome work on issues in syntax,

corpus linguistics, language variation/change, etc.
