Description:
The Department of French of Carleton University is seeking candidates
for two tenure-track positions at the rank of Assistant Professor
commencing July 1, 2003.
Candidates must have a Ph.D. and publications. Candidates should have
a specialization in at least one of the following fields: Quebec
literature and culture with an interdisciplinary approach, francophone
studies (literature/culture), translation. Candidates with a
demonstrated expertise in more than one area will be preferred.
Proficiency in English is a requirement and a multimedia approach in
the classroom will be considered an asset. Successful candidates will
participate in all aspects of the Department's teaching, including
language and interdisciplinary courses, some given in English, the MA
program and, possibly, Carleton's Ph.D. programs in Cultural
Mediations and Canadian Studies.
These appointments are subject to budgetary approval and the closing
date for applications is February 15th, 2003. Candidates are invited
