Humboldt University, Berlin, School of Computer Science, Knowledge
Management Group, invites applications for two PhD opportunities;
contract duration is two years (may be extended to four or five
years); German salary level IIa BAT-O (approx. 2000-2500 Euros per
month, depending on age, marital status, and other factors).

Descriptions: Contribute to our research in statistical natural
language processing and text mining; specifically, contribute to the
project "Text Mining: Knowledge Discovery in Text Archives and
Efficient Document Processing", funded by the German Science
Foundation DFG. Employees may teach one class per weak on average.

Requirements: Candidates are expected to hold a degree in computer
science (German Diploma, Master's degree, or equivalent). Experience
text mining, statistical natural language processing, information
retrieval would be beneficial.
