International Graduate Student Conference CONSOLE XII
SECOND CALL FOR PAPERS
This year's CONSOLE will be hosted by the Section of Linguistics of
the Department of Philology of the University of Patras, Patras,
Greece on the 12th, 13th, and 14th of December 2003. Abstracts from
all areas of General and Applied Linguistics are invited to be
submitted (Phonetics, Phonology, Morphology, Syntax, Semantics,
Language Acquisition, Neurolinguistics, Discourse Analysis). We
especially encourage the submission of abstracts from the areas of
Phonetics, Phonology and Morphology. This year's invited speakers are
Prof. Dr. Angela Ralli (University of Patras), Dr. Anthi Revithiadou
(Aegean University), Dr. Anna Roussou (University of Patras).
Abstracts should by no means exceed two pages, including data,
graphemes, figures, and/ or references. The font should be Times New
Roman 12 pt, with 1 inch margin for all sides. SILDoulos or IPAKiel
should be used for data phonetic transcriptions. The final date for
the submission of abstracts is the 1st of August 2003. Notification of
acceptance is due to the 10th of September 2003 and the final program
will be notified the first week of October. More details about the
conference as well as the conference's website will be provided in the
third call for papers.

The Lomonosov Moscow State University, The Pushkin State Institute of
Russian Language, The Vinogradov State Institute of Russian Language
(Russian Academy of Sciences) organize The Second International
Congress of Russian Language Researchers ''Russian Language: its
Historical Destiny and Present State''. Chairman of Organizing
Committee of the Congress: Rector of Moscow University, Academician of
Russian Academy of Sciences Victor A. Sadovnichi.
The program of the Second International Congress of Russian Language
Researchers contains the following groups of issues: Current issues of
Russian Linguistics; Russian Language in its history and prehistory;
Russian Language in imaginative writing; Russian as a means of the
international and interethnic communication; Applied Rusistics and
problems of the computer analysis of Russian language; Linguistic
aspects of analyzing the traditional and contemporary Russian
folklore.
Working languages of paper presentation at the Congress - Russian,
English, German, French, Spanish. Abstracts (up to 2 pages of the
text, size 12pt, the font Times New Roman Cyrillic in WinWord format
*.RTF or *.DOC) should be sent by e-mail to the address:
kongr04 at philol.msu.ru as attached file an e-mail message together with
a registration form. Deadline for sending an abstract - October 1,
2003. A decision on the acceptance of an abstract will be announced by
the Program Committee to authors till November 1, 2003. A collection
of the abstracts will be printed by the beginning of the Congress and
will be available to the registered participants. Full texts of papers
of the Congress will be published by Moscow University Publishing
house in several specialized publications after the selective and
editorial procedures after the Congress. Requirements for full papers
for Proceedings of the Congress see later on the site of the
