Description:
The Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures, University of
Cyprus seeks applicants for two positions at the rank of Lecturer or
Assistant Professor in the following fields of study:
One position is in the syntax/grammar of English. The successful
candidate will teach courses such as English Syntax, Morphology of
English, Semantics and Pragmatics, Pedagogical Grammar as well as
other courses in the context of the Department´s programme in English
Language and Literature.
The second position is in Translation Studies, Discourse Analysis and
Stylistics. The successful candidate will teach courses such as
Translation Studies, Discourse Analysis, Stylistics, Semantics and
Pragmatics as well as other courses in the context of the department´s
programme in English Language and Literature. Scholarly and
publication potential required.
The successful candidate should be willing to teach courses ranging
from introductory to graduate level courses. Teaching Load: Two
courses a semester. Gross annual Salary including the 13th salary:
Lecturer CYP20.191-29.573; Assistant Professor CYP23.909-32.250.
