Description:
Computational Linguist/Senior Software Engineer
We have product and are building a business around it in the
traditional way. This means lean and mean, no external funding,
limited resources, and a dedicated focused team of experienced
software professionals.
The work is both challenging and rewarding. The positions we are
trying to fill are not junior, we are looking for senior level
individuals that have actually built products from the ground up and
developed intellectual property.
If you are interested in taking on this challenge with us and you have
the requisite skills (as stated below) to do the job, we want to hear
from you.
Absolute Requirements:
* At least 5 years experience creating large-scale software
applications that interact with massive data sets.
* Excellent working knowledge of Java, and/or C++
* A passion for building truly useful software, and a burning desire
to succeed
* Intellectual curiosity, and an appreciation for working with great
people in a promising young company
* Available immediately
* YOU MUST BE A US CITIZEN OR PERMANENT RESIDENT. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Strongly Preferred: (The more the better)
* Strong database experience
* Strong data visualization design and development skills
* Knowledge of search engines and information retrieval techniques
* Experience developing for various email clients and servers
* Proficiency in statistics or applied mathematics
* Proficiency in computational linguistics or artificial intelligence
* Demonstrated ability to develop algorithms for solving complex
problems
* Direct development experience with the Microsoft Office API's
* Experience with Ant, JUnit, Cactus, HTTPUnit
