PORTUGUESE, Assistant Professor, tenure-track, beginning Fall
2004. Primary area of specialization is Linguistics. In addition to
courses in Portuguese linguistics the successful candidate must be
prepared to teach a variety of Portuguese language courses at the
upper and lower levels. Applicants should possess native or
near-native proficiency in Portuguese, strong command of English,
proven excellence in teaching, active research agenda, strong
commitment to undergraduate education, and interdisciplinary
interests. Service to department and university is expected.
