Description:
Associate/Full Professor of Spanish Linguistics The Department of
Modern Languages and Literatures at The University of Texas at San
Antonio invites applications for a tenured position in Spanish
Linguistics at the rank of Associate or Full Professor starting Fall
2004.
Responsibilities: Teaching in BA and MA programs in Spanish, with
courses offered either at the UTSA Downtown Campus or the 1604 Campus
and occasionally at night.
Required qualifications -- Associate Professor: University or college
teaching experience, native or near-native ability in Spanish,
Ph.D. in Spanish linguistics or related field, excluding
dialectology/sociolinguistics. Record of publications appropriate to
rank. Preferred qualifications: Experience with heritage speakers.

teaching experience, native or near-native ability in Spanish,
Ph.D. in Spanish linguistics or related field, excluding
dialectology/sociolinguistics. Strong record of publications.
Preferred qualifications: Experience with heritage speakers.
