Description:
Tenure-track, 9 month position in linguistics, at the rank of
assistant professor in the Department of English, effective 16 August
2004.
Qualifications: Ph.D. in linguistics or related discipline required by
time of appointment; experience and demonstrated excellence in
teaching; research program essential. Preference will be given to
candidates with specialization in one or more of the following areas:
computational/corpus linguistics, stylistics, syntax and semantics, or
cognitive science. The successful candidate should present
credentials that will complement and enhance the undergraduate
linguistics minor and graduate programs in linguistics with TESOL or
stylistics focus. Ability to teach required traditional grammar course
necessary; interest in teaching language and gender desirable.
Deadline for receipt of complete application: 20 November 2003.
