Description:
We are looking for a talented, enthusiastic sociolinguist actively
engaged in research on language variation and change. The successful
candidate will teach at undergraduate and MSc levels and will help to
guide student research. Minimum qualifications include a PhD in
sociolinguistics (or a closely related field) completed by December,
2004, and expertise in the study of sociolinguistic variation.
Personal experience in fieldwork, in the study of language and
identity, and in working with learners English as a Foreign Language
are desirable.
