Meeting Description:
A symposium on recent research in English historical lexicography,
lexicology and lexical semantics. Papers are invited for a symposium
on English historical lexis to be held in Helsinki in March 2005. The
symposium is intended to discuss recent research in English historical
lexicography, lexicology and lexical semantics. While the main
interest is English, contributions discussing other languages in so
far as they relate to English lexis are welcome.
The symposium is being organized by the Research Unit for Variation
and Change in English (VARIENG), a National Centre of Excellence
funded by the Academy of Finland and the University of Helsinki.
