Description:
Truman State University, Missouri's highly selective public liberal
arts and sciences university, seeks a humanistically oriented linguist
for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor appointment
beginning August 2004. Ph.D. desired, A.B.D. considered. Duties
include teaching ESL and introductory and advanced courses in
linguistics. Academic advising, service, and scholarship are
expected. Successful candidates will have demonstrated excellence in
and commitment to undergraduate teaching and to a liberal arts
environment. Send letter of application, vita, undergraduate
transcripts, graduate transcripts (copies of both acceptable for now),
three recent letters of recommendation, names/phone numbers/email
addresses of three references, and evidence of teaching effectiveness
