2004 SummerTrans SummerSchool - Translation Theory meets Translation
Practice at the University of Innsbruck, Austria
Ladies and Gentlemen,
We kindly invite you to our 2004 Summer Trans SummerSchool -
Translation Theory meets Translation Practice - from July 15 to July
24, 2004 at the Department of Translation and Interpretation Studies
at Innsbruck University. The Summer School offers courses and modules
on theoretical and practical aspects of translation and interpreting,
including new translation technologies, multimedia, specialist and
literary translation, history of translation, translation and
cognition, from which each participant can choose his or her
individual programme. In addition, Summer Trans offers a PhD workshop,
in which leading translation researchers will give PhD students advice
on theoretical and methodological issues, as well as introductory
courses, in which participants can try their hands at translation
modes they haven't practised yet, such as multimedia translation,
simultaneous interpreting, etc. Most courses will be held in German.
The programme is targeted at teachers and learners of translation
studies as well as at practitioners.
