proficiency
*cross-cultural pragmatics/discourse analysis
*pragmatic development in a second language
*developments in pragmatic research and methodology
*integrating pragmatics in language teaching
Abstract submissions:
Abstracts should be sent via electronic mail as an attachment (Word,
WordPerfect, or PDF format) to: pll2005 at indiana.edu
One-page abstract (300 words maximum) electronically with the title
but no author's name. Include a separate page with author's name,
email address, and institutional affiliation. Authors may submit one
individual and one joint abstract.

Meeting Description:
Call for papers II Conference ALFAL North West of Europe on Latin
American Linguistics, including Amerindian languages of the Latin
American region. Proposals on any subject of Latin American Spanish or
Portuguese or Amerindian languages of the region are welcome, as well
as papers on theoretical matters related to the languages
mentioned. Conference languages are Spanish, Portuguese and
English. In order to participate, you have to be or become amember of
ALFAL. The proceedings will be published in Estudios de LingüÃstica
Española.
