Description:
The University of Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking to appoint a two year
fixed term Lecturer (Teaching) in Communication and Language in the
School of Education, Communication & Language Sciences. This is a
teaching and administrative post, and the appointee will be
responsible for delivering professional communication skills training
to the School's postgraduate programmes (in particular, the MA in
Cross-cultural communication and International Management
/International Relations), English language enhancement and English
for specific purposes for overseas teachers and students, preparing
both taught and research postgraduates for the writing up of Research
Portfolio/Dissertation. In addition, the appointee will be expected to
contribute to the management of postgraduate programmes.
Successful candidates should have a degree and preferably a
postgraduate qualification in language and communication and a strong
and proven record of teaching communication and language skills to
both international and home students. Experience of teaching business
and politics students will be an advantage.
