Description:

Job Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain language modules to meet the requirements from
our customers as well as our enterprise products. We now cover 30
languages, inclduing the 3 new lanugages to be developed in 2004, and
additional resource is needed to update and enhance the language
modules in adequate manners.

Native level fluency in one or more of the following languages:
Scandinavian languages: Swedish, Danish, Norwegian

Interest in linguistic applications in Inforamtion
Retrieval/Extraction area


Job Requirements:

Degree in Linguisitcs or Computational Linguistics · Strong linguistic
background in the fields of lexicon, morphology and syntax · Knowledge
of natural language processing (NLP) and/or corpus linguistics ·
Familiarity with Unix and knowledge of at least one programming
language · Skills in using regular expressions · Basic knowledge of
the logic; the set thoery in particular · Ability to communicate and
work effectively in English · Good organzation and interpersinal
skills

Perferred Requirements:

Programming experience in Perl or C++ · Work experience in an area of
linguistic technology or computational linguistics, more specifically,
statistical approach to NLP, corpus linguistics, parsing or
applications of finite-state automata · Familiarity with information
retrieval/extraction issues · Experience in a commertial software
development organization
