Subject:  voicing contrast in sibilants

Dear Linguists,

I'm working on my dissertation and need information about the
distribution of the contrast between voiced and voiceless sibilants in
as many languages as possible.  Specifically, I'm looking for
descriptions of the phonetic environments in which contrasts between
voiced and voiceless sibilants are maintained; intervocalically,
adjacent to sonorants or obstruents, in word-initial or word final
position, etc.

If anyone can provide information about the sibilants of a specific
language or can direct me to a resource that contains such
descriptions, I'd really appreciate it!

I am taking a course on UG and I was wondering if anyone new a place
to find a fairly extensive list of proposed parameters just for my
general knowledge.  I've spent a lot of time searching but I have yet
to find anything.
