Description:

The University of South Carolina has a 9-month, tenure-track position
available at the rank of asst/assoc professor in the area of child
language.  Applicants must possess an earned doctorate and demonstrate
a clear line of research with a strong potential for extramural
funding. Individuals applying at the associate level must have an
established recorded of funded research.  Teaching load is
commensurate with the need for excellence in research. Outstanding
applicants from all disciplines will be considered.  The ASHA CCC is
not required.

The University of South Carolina is a comprehensive research
institution with an enrollment of over 25,000 students, of whom more
than 9,500 (38%) are pursuing post-baccalaureate degrees.  The
department offers both the master's and doctoral degrees and has a
long history of collaboration with psychology and linguistics faculty.

Located in Columbia, the state capital and largest city, university
faculty have access to numerous government, research, educational, and
medical facilities.  Columbia residents enjoy the comforts of a modern
Southern city with a mild climate, situated 90 miles from the
mountains or beaches.
