Subject: New Dialect Survey from U of Wisconsin-Milwaukee
Our new and improved English dialect survey is now ready for the
taking at:
http://www3.uwm.edu/Dept/FLL/linguistics/survey/
This survey contains about 550 questions, compared to 120 in the one
we ran last year. It also enables us to map responses from outside the
contintental US, so we will be including maps for Canada and Great
Britain as soon as we receive a sufficient number of responses. As
before, all of the questions are suitable for consumption by
non-linguists, so please encourage your students, friends, and
relatives to take it as well.
Thanks,
Bert
