EU-financed high level scientific conference series 'Text &
Translation': Third event 'Translation Theory and Methodology' focuses
on theories and methodologies of translation and interpretation
including LSP Translation and new trends ('intersemiotic
translation',subtitling, audiodescription) 'Translation Theory and
Methodology' is the third event of a Euroconference and
High-Level-Scientific Conferences' Series sponsored by the European
Union. It will be held from May 6-8 in Saarbrücken following the two
previous events at the Institute for Translatology in Prague (2002)
and the Aarhus Business School (2003)and will concentrate on
translation & interpretation theory and methodology. The conference is
preceded by an international PhD school for translators and
interpreters. Invited key note speakers are: Juliane House (Hamburg),
Werner Koller (Bergen), Klaus Schubert (Flensburg), Lew Zybatow
(Innsbruck), Rene Ladmiral (Paris), Jan Engberg (Aarhus), Daniel Gile
(Lyon), Henryk Gottlieb (Copenhagen), Sylvia Kalina (Cologne), Joern
Albrecht (Heidelberg)). A tentative program is available at
